Interactive public announcement system, motion detector, gibberish speech sampels
A replica of a public announcement system mounted on a lightning pole. When people are around, the apparatus starts to recite pop and love song lyrics in a drunken slur. Inspired by the system of former urban loudspeaker propaganda in Eastern Europe, this interactive audio-installation is questioning todays re-use of this widely still
mounted instruments. The purpose of this work is to generate a kind of sympathy for one of these old machinery artifacts from former times.
